2007 ROI Summit

The 2nd Annual ROI Summit was held on July 1-5, 2007, in Jerusalem. The ROI Summit gathered 120 innovators and leaders representing 23 countries and over 100 communities.
During the 4 day event, these individuals exchanged experiences, presented projects, gained new skills and perspectives, found international partners and colleagues, debated with leading Jewish experts, and tackled the many challenges facing the Jewish world today. The Summit was a real testament to the vibrant future that we have the potential to build together.

The gathering was structured around 5 thematic tracks - Israel Advocacy, Tikkun Olam, Youth Programming, Environmental Activism, and Content Delivery. These tracks enabled the participants to focus the conversation around their fields of interest and enhanced the potential for collaboration.

The program also included skill development sessions, open-space discussions, expert panels, and keynote addresses.

Another central component of the 2007 ROI Summit was the Service Day, where the 120 ROIers together with Israeli youth and local activists rolled up their sleeves in a city-wide effort aimed at restoring public parks in the Jerusalem area. This activity, which reflected one of ROI’s core Jewish values of giving back to the community, was made possible through a partnership with the Municipality of Jerusalem.
