Who are the members of the ROI Community?
ROI Community members are vibrant, creative individuals who are actively transforming the Jewish world with innovative perspectives and diverse ways for connecting to Jewish life. Spanning a range of skills, areas of expertise, knowledge and passions, ROI members operate in every sector where Jewish life and values are most resonant - including social action, environmental activism, arts and culture, media and technology, education, social justice, Israel advocacy, Jewish peoplehood, and beyond. ROI members are young Jewish leaders in their twenties and thirties, who join the global network by participating in an annual ROI Summit where 150 leaders are gathered from Israel, Europe, North America, Latin America, and other communities from around the world. To date, there are about 700 ROI members hailing from about 50 countries.
No two ROI members are identical, nor do they fit a precise mold. But many ROI Community members fall into one or more of the following categories:
• Creative and Social Entrepreneurs
Are you launching a new Jewish initiative in your community? Got an idea and the drive to make it happen? Trying to develop a social start-up and take it to the next level of success? Are you creating new expressions of Jewish life through arts and culture?
• Change Agents & Community Professionals
Are you trying to change your organization from within? Are you responsible for transforming an established institution into one that is more relevant in today's world? Do you work for a Jewish organization that is on the cutting edge of connecting young people to Jewish life?
• Connectors & Cultivators of Network Hubs
Do you manage a network of people who will be instrumental in shaping the Jewish future? Do you represent a community of stakeholders who have an important voice that should be heard? Are you experienced in matching collaborators based on their strengths and needs, or skilled at mobilizing people for good causes?
• Experts & Capacity Builders
Do you have experience and expertise that could impact a global network of young leaders? Can you share sound advice and knowledge with people who want to change the world? Are you a busy professional who is seeking to get involved in meaningful and innovative Jewish initiatives as an advisor or volunteer?
