Imagine the energy: 120 of the Jewish world’s brightest young minds, gathered in Jerusalem from every corner of the world and from every field of endeavor, for a four-day, collaborative “think-in” about the future of the Jewish people. The ROI Global Summit goals are: (1) To support and empower participants with resources, networking, and other opportunities that can assist them in their pursuits (2) To channel participant energies towards developing a forward-looking plan that will ensure the future relevance of such a network of purpose. The ROI Global Summit for Young Jewish Innovators is a free-wheeling celebration of creativity and professional empowerment. An inspiring engine for both Jewish continuity and Jewish change, the Summit takes the next generation of leaders seriously, challenging them to dream big, network intensely, and learn a great deal – both from the older generation, and from an exciting cohort of their talented peers. Some of the Summit participants are graduates of Taglit-Birthright Israel, and the program is designed to build on the momentum created by this Israel experience (ROI stands for “Return On Investment), while identifying individuals who are already making a difference in their home communities. Selected through a competitive screening process, participants are organized into seven tracks according to each participant’s chief area of activism or interest. Each of these tracks (Tikkun Olam/Service, Arts & Culture, Visions of Israel, Environmentalism, Bridge Building, New Media, Networks of Purpose and Jewish Education) forms a hub around which a diverse group of participants learn about each other’s communities, challenges and solutions, and plant the seeds of future collaboration.
