Moriah College seeks Dean of Jewish Life and Learning (Sydney, Australia)

Moriah College is an independent, co-educational, Jewish
school based in Sydney, Australia. The College was founded
in 1943 and is considered one of the leading Jewish day
schools in the world with an enrolment of approximately 1760
students from Preschool to Year 12.
The Primary, Middle and High Schools of the College are
located at a modern, purpose-built campus in Sydney’s
Eastern Suburbs. Moriah has a history of developing
students with a strong Jewish identity and consistently ranks
academically amongst the top schools in New South Wales.
The College is proud and protective of its Modern Orthodox
Zionist ethos.
 
The College is seeking to appoint a Dean of Jewish Life and
Learning (Dean) to promote an environment of excellence
in formal and informal Jewish education, by enhancing and
implementing a strategic and holistic plan, from Preschool
to Year 12. As a senior member of the College Executive, the
Dean will lead the College on all matters pertaining to its
ethos. He or she will also lead the Jewish Life and Learning
Management Team, as well as approximately 55 staff that
provide those programs.
 
The ideal candidate will be an accomplished and dynamic
Jewish educator with a strong intellect, who will command
the respect of the Moriah community. He or she will display
unquestionable commitment to the ethos of the College, and
an ability to apply it in an inclusive manner.
