FAQ:
Q: Who will be selected for the SocialStart Training Program?
A: Talented, passionate community members with a zest for entrepreneurship and an interest in teaching and training. Participants will be chosen from around the globe.
Q: Once trained, how often will the trainers be able to teach PresenTense seminars?
A: Once the trainers receive certification they will be given the opportunity to shadow a PresenTense staff or veteran SocialStart trainer in a convenient time and place. Then the trainer will teach once under observation, and pending satisfaction, will be invited to teach additional classes. Classes occur once a month as part of the PT Community Entrepreneur Partnerships and occasionally there are additional classes for organizational professionals. We will work with newly certified SocialStarts to find local opportunities that work for them.
Q: How much will trainers be paid?
A: First-year trainers will be paid $100 per seminar taught. Upon gaining experience and earning high marks from the Fellow participants in 2012-13, this stipend can increase the following year. Travel and lodging will be covered when a trainer represents PresenTense more than an hour from home.
Q: Can trainers manage this commitment with a full-time job or graduate program?
A: Yes, but you will need the flexibility to devote time for preparation before teaching and to teach the three-hour seminars.
Q: Will Israel based participants be required to lodge in Jerusalem for the duration of the training?
A: No, participants based in Israel will be able to go back home to their families each evening and return in the morning, so long as they are in full attendance of all programming.
