Studying English as Part of My Professional Development
Categories: Micro Grants, ROI Grants
By Gabi Appel, ROI Micro Grant recipient
I have a goal: Within two years, I plan to stay abroad for a period of time, in an English-speaking country, for studies or for work. As director of an Non Profit Organization in Israel, I understand that there is no other way to improve my English skills than to spend time abroad. After a period abroad, I plan to return to Israel to resume my work in the third sector but from a different vantage point; with the benefit of a new life experience and of course a better command of the English language. I just finished an English course which was covered by the ROI Micro Grants; and this is only the beginning. I plan to continue practicing the tools I learned during the course and to apply to study abroad.
