We need one more brick!!

 Dear ROIers!

In a few days, we will be putting toghether 30 young jewish leaders in the first Connectors Gathering. 

Mixing hands-on work with theoretical and practical components such as project development, content, skills, training and networking, each attendee will also participate in a larger service project – the building of an entire home for an underprivileged family! 
 
We invite you to support our dream by donating a symbolic brick for the home that we will build together. The life of a family will be forever changed, and you will have their undying gratitude. Centre for Jewish Innovation in Toronto Opens Up Application for Residency

Hi ROIers -
Applications are now open for Jewish social entrepreneurs in Toronto who are interested in residency at UJA's Centre for Jewish Innovation in Toronto. The Centre offers emerging and growing Jewish non-profits collaborative office space (at the Wolfond Centre), mentorship, increased organizational profile, capacity building, a community of practice, and grant assistance.

Apply by September 14, 2012 and spread the word.

Registration and Administration Manager

Yael Adventures, a subsidiary of Tzukey Yeelim – the leading educational tourism company within Israel, is looking to hire a Registration and Administration Manager for their Taglit-Birthright Israel division based out of their offices in Haifa.
 
The Registration and Administration Manager will manage the trip registration, administration and customer service. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Placement of participants on trips
  • Overseeing the process of registration and follow-up
  • Supervision of the moked (call center staff)
  • Liaison between Yael Adventures and partners by phone and/or emails
The ideal candidate for the Registration and Administration Manger position will meet the following requirements:
  • Native English speaker (written and spoken)
  • Live in Haifa and be willing to work evening hours (5pm-midnight)
  • High level experience with computer systems
  • Strong human relations skills (team player, service and detail oriented) 
Priority will be given for those who are/have:
  • Taglit-Birthright Israel alumni
  • Prior experience with incoming tourism and/or customer service
  • Hebrew speaker is a plus (written and spoken)

Esther's Fall Schedule

Greetings, everyone...some of the 2011ers don't know me as well as the ROIers from previous years, but I wanted to reach out to all of you together, to share with you my fall travel schedule, and hoping that I'll be able to see as many of you as possible over the next few months.

I'm based in Los Angeles, so I hope many of you will consider visiting us here. The weather's lovely most of the time and there's lots to do. You may have even heard that there's an entire movie industry here! Well, I can't get you a walk-on role on any TV shows, but there's other stuff. So let me know when you're due here!

September 15-20 I'll be in San Francisco/Berkeley area, for Opening the Dor on Monday night September 19, where I'll be co-presenting with Sarah Lefton and perhaps seeing many of you Bay Area people. Check it out and RSVP here: https://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=264581633554798   

October 12-16, will be in Fair Lawn, NJ for Sukkot with my family. If any of you needs a place for a Sukkot meal, feel free to speak up. I may try to get into NYC on Sunday before flying out at night, but am not sure yet.

November 4-8 brings me to Denver, CO for the Jewish Federations of North America General Assembly. If any of you are planning to be there, do let me know so I can make sure you know about some of the cool social and professional content that will be happening there.

And in December, I'm trying to go to London again - not sure for how long, but will at least be there the 13-18.

So that's it for right now, but hoping some of you will reach out to say hey and keep me updated on your exciting projects...

Hi Everyone,

I'm looking forward to the 2011 ROI Summit!

I'm planning on coming early and visiting Tel Aviv for the weekend prior to the Summit. I'm wondering if anyone is driving to Jerusalem on Saturday or Sunday? The Reut Institute invites you to discuss Jewish Sovereignty in the 21st Century

Dear ROI'ers,

I am happy to invite you to a special gathering the Reut Institute is organizing for this comming Sunday 10th of April in Tel Aviv, hosting Adv. Gilead Sher and journalist Israel Arel.

Sher and Arel will discuss the topic of "Jewish sovereignty in the 21st century".

Sher was the co-Chief Israeli Peace Negotiator at the Camp David Summit in 2000; Arel is a well known journalist and public figure who supports the settlement movement.

The gathering will take place at the Rabin Center, Tel Aviv, at 19:00.
