The Bible Raps Project uses the medium of rap music within to promote our core Jewish texts—currently perceived by much of the youth market as boring, irrelevant and stale—and instead, present them as rich sources of meaning, drama, and inspiration. Or, in the words of a 13 year old listener, "cool!”. In doing so, The Bible Raps Project helps transform the classroom experience, providing a new and powerful tool for Jewish educators. By maintaining the rich, nuanced nature of the Bible stories themselves, the raps inspire students to listen carefully, learning texts in a more creative, rich way than ever before. Its Torah as it was meant to be: relevant and exciting.
