From my youth I have been involved in environmental activism, from organizing recycling programs, beach cleanups, college campus forest preservation/trail development, community gardens in NYC and Israel, educating youth about Judaism and the environment, etc. In January 2000, I came to Israel for the first time with birthright Israel on Livnot UíLehibanot. The experience changed my life and lent a wondrous framework in which to continue crafting my, in the words of Paulo Coelho, ìPersonal Legend.î I made Aliyah with my wife in 2003 and we have two sons.
