Csaba Kürti was born in Pécs, a provincial town in Hungary. Like many other Hungarian Jewish children, Csaba got involved with the Jewish community some 20 years ago, when the political system was changed. A few years later, at the age of 18, Csaba and his friends founded a Jewish youth organization, by going from house to house, to locate young Jewish people. They organized dozens of programs throughout the years, including shabbatons, conferences, Purim and Chanukah parties and the reconstruction of Jewish cemeteries, among others. Aside from his voluntary work, Csaba got his degree in information technology and economics. Csaba and his brother realized how difficult it was for Jews living in the countryside to become acquainted with others and experience the feeling of the Jewish community, and thus founded a Jewish social network called Jewish Meeting Point, which has grown to be the largest of its kind in Hungary.
