Dafna was born in Chile, studied at a Jewish school, was a chanicha and a madricha of a Youth Movement and participated in many other community groups. After graduating high school she joined Shajatz, a Chilean Jewish youth social service group, which builds houses for poor people. Dafna is a clinical psychologist and worked at a mental health center, and also at a school. She has participated three times in ROI gatherings: ROI Summit 2008, the Latinamerican Regional Gathering 2008, and ROI Summit 2010. She also has been a madricha of Birthright Chile. Dafna created and directed Shomer Olam, a Jewish environmental organization. Last year she spent a year studying Judaism in Jerusalem, and finally decided to make Aliyah. Dafna got an ROI Grant for creating the spanish speaking branch of Jewish Eco Seminars, an Israel-based organization that educates the Jewish community through inspiring seminars on Jewish Environmental wisdom.
