Daniel Weil was born and raised in the Jordan Valley in Israel. He served in the army in the IDF Intelligence Unit. In 2004, Daniel received a B.A. in communications and film from Sapir College in Sderot. Since 2003, Daniel has served as CEO of Machshava Tova. He has participated in courses given by MATI regarding running an NGO as well as a course given by the Joint for NGO CEOs to strengthen leadership skills. Daniel also participated in the Pratt Foundation's course dedicated to building and reinforcing an organization's fundraising department. Daniel has directed and edited three films, including a documentary about the 1995 helicopter tragedy in which 73 Israeli soldiers were killed. He is an avid photographer, has participated in various exhibitions and won first prize in the Windows 2000 photography competition in Sderot. He enjoys traveling and has had the chance to participate in international conferences in Japan and Germany.
