Deborah Fishman is the network Animator of PresenTense and Managing Editor of PresenTense Magazine, actualizes a grassroots, volunteer network of hundreds of young Jews spread across four continents. She is also pursuing a master’s in Jewish professional studies at the Spertus Institute and is an Israel Fellow with the iCenter. Previously, she served as Program Director for the American Zionist Movement, developing educational materials for young Jews to promote dialogue on the meaning of Zionism today. She graduated from Princeton University in 2006 with a major in Slavic languages and literatures and a certificate in Judaic studies. During her years at Princeton, she was News Editor for the Daily Princetonian, Princeton's daily newspaper, as well as President of PIPAC, Princeton's pro-Israel group. When not community-organizing, she enjoys experimenting with the Jewish culinary heritage from around the world. She lives with her husband Tal and daughter Ayelet Tziona in New Jersey.
