Elliot Cowan is the Creative Director and Founder of Br&.ish (Brandish), founded in 2010 by Elliot as a multi-disciplinary design company that specialises in working with Jewish organisations around the world on anything and everything from branding to apps, websites and more.
Elliot is currently working on a platform called "Br&.ish Me" which is to be a forum for Jewish designers around the world to submit their artwork/publicity material. This will create a network of Jewish designers/artists and creatives who are connected into the international Jewish community while working to lower the cost of design material for websites, fundraising and marketing for organizations but at the same time increasing it's professionalism and quality.
Br&.ish is the first "for profit" residential JHub Associate in the Pears Foundation funded "JHub" (www.jhub.org.uk) and Elliot has been the graphic designer in residence for the PresenTense Global Fellowship since 2011. Br&ish is the officially recommended design agency for micro grant recipients from ROI and Elliot was a speaker at the Summer of Change Paideia Institute.
Elliot currently holds a degree and a Masters in Industrial Design.
Br&.ish also runs training sessions for Jewish professionals in person and online, including:
- Photography for Fundraising - Every Jewish organisational worker should know the basics of photography but few do. This session will change that forever!
- You Suck at Powerpoint - A Guide to Designing amazing Powerpoint Presentations.
