Growing up in the suburbs of central New Jersey nature, wasnít always easily accessible; we had big backyards and nice public parks, but were detached from the untamed, wild side of nature: the dwelling place of the mysterious and the magical. I had my first opportunity to experience that magic on a family camping trip just before my Bar Mitzvah and it left an indelible mark on my psyche. When I returned, I was determined to find the hidden, untouched corners of my neighborhood. It became my mission to connect more deeply to those around me and to the place I called home. Over the years, that concept has evolved; I strive to connect other people to that awesome life-affirming place where freedom truly reigns.
