Molly Livingstone likes to quote other people to explain a little about herself. For example, she will use a Larry David quote to best state who she is. Are you ready? "I'm not an inventor. I'm an improver. I improve things that are broken." That sums it up. That's Molly, in one statement. Besides improving, Molly is also an improviser, so the word works both ways for her. If she's not improving life than she's improving life on stage. She believes life should be lived by the rules of improv. Tina Fey once said about improv, "There are no mistakes - only opportunities." Molly couldn't agree more. Finally, Molly is someone who really enjoys laughing and making others laugh. Through her comedy troupe, Hahafuch, she wants to spread the laughter and the message that Israel is funny. For her the horror is not the Iran threat, but the threat of the guy sitting next to her on the bus without deodorant. Or the grandma in line who will push her violently. Or hearing those dreaded words, "yiyeh besder." Life in Israel is full of humor and it improves one’s life to know it.

But soon it became obvious that this was more than just a hobby. Molly realized it was time to show the world that Israel is a hilarious place, one show at a time. To date, Hahafuch has performed before audiences of all ages in Israel, telling it like it is from the perspective of an outsider or new immigrant. The troupe, performing improv and writing original comedy sketches and video, makes fun of everything from daily life to politicians, inventions that could help new immigrant friars (suckers) and reality shows like The Real Housewives of Jerusalem. As the founder of the troupe, Molly's vision is to go beyond the stage performances in Israel and reach her generation across the world. If she had it her way, she would be rocking a Daily Show-esque web series that featured ridiculous and sometimes true events in Israel, famous Israelis and even politicians. She believes that comedy is the best platform for hasbara.
