Ricardo Szyfer is in his final year of a Systems Engineering degree. He teaches data structures and algorithms at ORT University in Uruguay, where he is pursuing his degree. He was elected for two consecutive terms to be a student representative of the academic council of the Faculty of Engineering of ORT University. Ricardo was also accepted as a 2011 Global PresenTense Summer Institute Fellow to develop the social entrepreneurship project “Contá Conmigo” (“Count with me”). From May 2010 to May 2011, he worked for Domotec Ltd. developing domotics systems (automation of home and housework activity). His hobbies include skiing, football, reading, electronics, and more. Last but definitely not least, Ricardo is an active member of the Hillel Tzedek group where he engages in social service activities and outreaches to the larger community to bring in more participants.
