Uriel Aiskovich was born in Argentina during the democratic recomposition. From a young age he experienced a feeling of restlessness regarding Judaism. This feeling drove him to study at the Latin American Rabbinic Seminar and then to obtain an M.A. in cultural diversity and Judaic studies. He is currently working a thesis on Talmudic sources of pragmatic philosophy. Uriel developed his career in the field of civil society and non-governmental organizations within the Jewish community. In 2006, he created the Shagriria program dedicated to helping young Jews attend international forums that foster understanding about Israel to Latin America. In May 2011, he created the Altneuland Foundation dedicated to promoting, from an artistic and cultural view, respect for cultural diversity and understanding about Judaism to the Argentine society.
